So much we can learn,so much to know....

Worthwhile,wet weekend : p

As it rained the entire Saturday,we decided it was best to stay home, especially when hubby had recently returned from his business trip.

It was a worthwhile stay-home weekend!

We did lots of research,a couple of phone calls and after much discussion and contemplation,we are finally going for another holiday!

Oh,not just one,but two holidays!Woo hoo!!! *doing a super happy dance!*

I'm soooooo excited.I warned hubby that he had to bear with my zealousness and enthusiasm for the next few weeks/months!haha!But I'm not the only one,of course.Darling son is just as eager as I am,especially since he'd be taking the plane!

This was one of my options, but the place is too romantic for us to go with our babies....maybe we'll go on our 10th year anniversary or something...?! *grin sheepishly*

Anyway, these are the sneak peaks I'm looking forward to!

She and He

My darling son just turned 3 yrs 6mths a few days ago.Half a year more and he's going to be four.I can't believe it.I can still remember those contractions I had with him inside my womb...that car ride on the way to hospital, with hubby and me grinning from ear to ear...and now, more than 3 years had passed....as he lay asleep,I still kissed him numerous times, just like I did when he was a baby.

He got me screaming some days, exasperated at times but he has never failed to make me smile and laugh just the same. He's so independent now, making his own choices of what he wants to eat,or what he'd like to wear sometimes. And he loves giving me a helping hand, like doing the laundry or making pancakes in the morning, albeit making more of a mess at times rather than helping.

Recently,we got a new handheld vacuum cleaner and of course,he HAD to help!

"I want to do it,umi!"

He's sooooo happy he got to vacuum the sofa,he didn't want to stop!

Speaking of independent, this is him, wanting to eat chicken fajita for 3 days straight! He kept saying he wanted 'chicken fatiha'!It was hilarious,he kept mispronouncing fajita as fatiha!

Happy with his fajita, with loads of cheese and vegetables!

As for his darling sister, well,I'm glad they get along fine. The brother adores hugging her while she tries to free herself. She always want to wake her brother up whenever he is taking his compulsory afternoon nap before going to school, just so she can play with him. She's delighted whenever she sees her brother in the van coming back from school. They giggle and run around the house all the time. It's simply heartwarming to see them together.

When she's not attached to her brother, she'd be my shadow, just inches away from me.She'd hold on to my legs when I'm doing the dishes, she'd wait for me by the door when I'm in the bathroom, she'd want to eat what I'm eating even after she had burped heartily after her meal.

These days,I'm waiting for her to call me 'umi'.Hmmm....that'd be a delight : )

She's babbling some german or thai or some language now,in her attempt to communicate with us.But I know she understands us.She'd take the kitchen towel to wipe her mouth, she'd even help put the clean laundry on the sofa when we tell her to.

And last night, she took a book from the shelf just before bedtime. She knew it was time to read.

Here she is,with her cute tiger's roar.

For all these precious moments I have with my two babies,I wish I could put them in a box.I always remind myself to cherish each moment I spend with them, each silly, funny, heartwarming thing that they do : )

Walnut Brownie!

We have been procrastinating on getting a new oven so eventually last weekend, hubby decided to drive us to Liang Court to get one. After mush discussion,we decided on a Tefal and gleefully brought it home....only to realized it's too big for the spot where we wanted it to be.So silly of us for not measuring even after we took the measurements at home, just assuming, that it fits!shheshh...

So yesterday,we made our way back there for an exchange. Not many choices for a smaller one but we got it!Finally it sat beautifully in my kitchen.

Hubby had voiced out his desires for many baked dishes but he really, really wanted a chocolate brownie.

And so,I deflowered our new oven and we had a walnut chocolate brownie for dessert today!Woo hoo!Thick, rich, moist with lots of nuts...not too much, better watch that waistline!

I'm happy with the outcome.I'd love to make cupcakes for my kids next!I'm no Martha Stewart but I'm scouring for new recipes for chicken and fish too....just to have something nice and different for dinner!Wish me luck!

TGIF date at Resorts World

I wanted to gather a few ladies to got on this VS date.Unfortunately, there was a clash of schedules so it was just Liz and me,plus our noisy, rowdy little ones! It was such an oh-so-exciting day, full of laughs and shouting after our kids!

The kids love spending time with one another and mummies bask in our crazy,yakkity-yak company. We get to see the new Resorts World Sentosa and explored what's in store, before Universal Studios opens its doors (and the crowd goes crazy). There were a lot of beautiful water fountains which the kids adore. They were so tempted to splash into those waters I'm sure, especially with the hot sun smiling down on us.

Oh and not forgetting,I get to explore Singapore's own Victoria's Secrets!Though a far cry from my visit in Las Vegas (our local's so small,so so so limited stocks and lack variety-where are all those good ones?!), I still get my dose of VS! *chuckle*

This used to be my playground....at Chinatown station, super excited to meet the Effendy's.

Look at my son... strike a pose!Hah!

My darling baby girl was delighted when she finally got off the stroller to run!

Who's the one who loves to pose,I wonder? : p

Let's go there!

Dejavu!I suddenly remembered my own photo taken in front of the globe in Universal Studios California many years ago!!Now it's my son's turn to pose in front of the famous globe.

I love my Hershey's!

The 'lovebirds'...hehe...

Facade.

In awe of fountains and such.

At the Galleria. The kids know the way I'm sure!

Ooooohh...big fat asses!

"Umi,VS is that way!" She knows her VS too!

*Rubbing hands in glee!*

This is it!

Lovebirds?Eh...just look at them holding hands, without a care in the world...

Back to mainland.Yay!We are getting on the train again!

Yay! Going back home to sleep....

But wait! Didn't we forget to catch something there??

Nahh,we have our Chippendales waiting at home! *wink*
