The three tagging along.

Hubby was scheduled for a business trip and since it was just a causeway away,it became a wife-son-and-daughter-tag-along-business trip instead, especially when it coincided with my birthday!

After two days of packing, pocketful of enthusiasm and loads of excitement,we hopped onto our car and headed to our destination.I was determined to have my throne back so we had both kids in the backseats. There was, surprisingly,no protests!Daughter slept throughout the non-stop journey while son was way toooo excited to close his eyes and kept asking, when are we reaching the hotel! : p

Calling up grandma to tell her he'd be staying in two hotels!

Geared up for the ride.

Entertaining himself.

Asleep all the wayyyy...

Reached destination-at the lobby.

Finally in our room at One World Hotel.

Yay!I'm sleeping here tonight.

Ooohhh....Love the a la Hansgrohe overhead shower!Can we have this at home,dear? : p

Love the fact that they provided loofah and great-smelling lotions and bathgels!

View from the 18th floor.

We had lunch, bought some toys from Toys R Us for the kids and walked around a bit.

Peek-a-boo!

Then hubby had to do his work at 6pm and that left the kids with me.We posed and took lots of photos all around the room and thereafter, the kids splashed around in the bathtub for a long time till it was time for bed.

Back in the room as daddy has to leave for work : ( At least we have our toys...and each other!

Giggles in bed.

One bed for you,one for me.

He loved the tub,so did I!

The next two days was just the three of us.It was eat, sleep, shop and be merry.Hubby had to work from early morning till late.Missed him loads. So did the kids.Darling son was grumbling and 'reprimanding' his daddy for being away...Daughter was inseparable when daddy's around and refused to let him out of her sight.

Next morning after hubby left at 8,it was breakfast time for 3 of us.

I'm having this!

We spent two nights at One World and another two nights at Renaissance.I love One World...it's as good as Marriott...and the breakfast there was SUPERB!Best I ever had in any hotel. There was soooooo much variety and tasted fantastic.Hoping next time, hubby and I could try the dinner...ooohhh....*rub hands*

Here are some more pics!

My sweethearts.

What are these two looking at?

Saying goodbye to One World Hotel as well as hubby as he still need to work.Next stop,Renaissance Hotel!

My fave dessert ever!

Been wanting to do this so when my TGIF came and the kids were asleep,I made my way to make it.....

CARAMEL PUDDING.

This is my favourite dessert ever!!! Got hooked on this when I was in Turkey and everytime I see this,I just have to have it!

So what better way than to make it myself, right?

With lots of love and patience, this is the most important....

Sugar slowly melting and turning into sticky caramel....I soooo know it's super sticky coz I got some on my shirt and pants while at it!So clumsy...haha...*roll eyes*

Lotsa eggs and fresh milk to make the pudding rich...

The waterbath baking didn't really work for me so I ended up baking it as usual. It took some time in the oven...then I have to wait for it to cool before it can be placed in the fridge. That takes another few hours. It's only nice when it's really cold.

Hubby couldn't wait....Me too!!! So even before the pudding is really cold,we gobbled a section of it!hahaha. Then the next day,the two of us and babies licked up the entire thing.Took me half a day to make it,a few minutes to finish it : p

Bad picture of it coz I couldn't wait to eat it...don't care for photo, must eat now!

Verdict? It's not enough! Next time,I'd definitely make lots more....*drooling thinking of the caramel pudding now....*

Loving turkish pistachio ice-cream!

All smiles after getting the ice-cream....

Chose the green ice-cream just coz he was wearing green!

Playing some online games together.

What does he do when both mum and dad are fast asleep?Took daddy's phone and snapped a pic of himself!Look at that cheeky face!He even took hubby's and my photos when we were asleep!Of course,I can't show those glamourous shots of us here! : p

Hubby and I had a good laugh looking at our photos!

I must stop SHOPPING.

Tired.

Spent the day at home today.Spent more than half a day in the kitchen.Yup,I can't believe it myself.

After lunch was ready, darling son asked me to bake cookies today.Ooooh,I've promised him for so long.Poor baby....so I relented and said ok,we'll do that after his nap.

And so that was what we did.The kitchen was a mess. What more,my lil' princess wanted to lend a helping hand. She's fast I tell ya!She managed to have half a bowl of walnuts scattered on the floor!Yikes!

Cookies wasn't to my expectations : (

Should have stuck to my own tried and tested recipe.Better luck next time. But my son was such a darling,he told me,it's nice,Umi,I like it....and he gobbled up a few.

I sent the kids to bed earlier than usual. My resting time was spent in front of the pc (since hubby's out to his class) and oh gosh,I came across so many sites on hijab. It's mad!I've got sooooooo many hijab (some are not even used yet!) and other accessories....and here I am,still browsing for more! It's like shopping for bags and shoes-you can never have enough!

I must stop shopping!!!!!!

Hmmm.....*tapping fingers......*
