Sanctity of Marriage

Reflection...

Recently I found out something that I would remember for a long time to come.It was a shock to me.I knew both persons involved, as well as their children, and I was truly saddened by the fact that someone whom I've known for a long time, who seems to be a good wife and mother, could do something that not only ruined her marriage, but her children's lives.

Her affair was found out when her husband accidentally saw her phone message. How long it had been going on, I don't know.Fact of the matter was, it happened.Maybe it's not right for me to comment about her life...but having worked in a place whereby I met with divorced couples and broken families, it pained and angered me that for someone like her, would be mindless enough to do this. Now her children won't speak to her, her own parents refused to acknowledge her.

Is it worth that rush you feel with a new man? Is it worth deceiving your entire family to have those moments with him?Is it worth losing your children and the trust they have in you?
I've seen mothers telling their children not to speak to their fathers, and vice versa.... badmouthing their ex-spouses to their children... telling those kids to choose between parents... I've seen them fight and children crying and pleading for them to stop... seen the children's anguished faces...

Why won't these people resist the temptation? They simply take marriage for granted.

Marriage is a commitment for life.If you,as a parent failed to respect the sanctity of marriage, how would our children?

Toy Fix

Time always seems too short when hubby's around during weekends or holidays. I am the one, not him, who grumbles when another working day kicks in. While it's true that I should be thankful he only has to work till 6, I still miss having him around (and of course, so that his son can hover around him instead..hehe..).

Saturday was spent queuing for his new toy. When I say he, I meant my hubby, not my son. Yes, grinning like a Cheshire cat, he waited in line to get his hands on it, while I tried to amuse my little prince on kiddy rides that used to cost only 20 cents, but now costs 5 times more.Under normal circumstances, hubby hates waiting, be it in a queue, or simply waiting for the traffic to turn green... smoke would come out of his ears, his face would turn red and nostrils flare..or maybe that was just some cartoon I watched the other day....but that day, as I ran after my 14 month on the second floor of the shopping mall, my hubby was still cool as a cucumber sipping Shirley Temple under a coconut tree.

He had his fix on this new toy....

He had his eyes and hands on his new toy that day...and many days after that. This is his third handphone for the year... and for the next three years, ok dear?

Call me a green monster, but I'd love to have this....

Anyone out there listening? Anyone generous? : )

Boy meets girl

It was a much-awaited date...which had been planned, procrastinated and re-planned on a few occasions.

The day finally arrived! We arrived at the same time at East Coast for breakfast...talk about perfect timing! We bought our breakfast and strolled to the nearest bench.

So, here we are..... you and me, and our babies!

It was not easy getting the little prince and princess to take a picture together. Little princess is all smiley and ready to snap a picture, but our little prince is running around, catching bubbles or getting his hands on the sand.
It was a fun day out, even if it was for a mere few hours.

Let's catch up again soon, my friends. Maybe soon we'd be running after BOTH the prince and princess! yikes!

Ohh... and before I forget, congratulations to both of you! : )
