Idol Finale

I hate spoilers. And I hate knowing what happened in the end without watching an entire programme.

I was my own spoiler today.I didn't realize the finale of American Idol was being broadcast in the morning so when I switched on the TV,it was on StarWorld and lo and behold,Ryan just announced that Kris was the winner.Grrrr.....I wanted the anticipation of watching the finale but darn it,there it was,the result was in my face!

Argh...Between the two,I had wanted Adam to win (Danny was awesome too,but he was booted out).Despite that,I watched the whole show in the evening (except the part when Kris sang his new song in the end) and it was awesome!

I enjoyed the collaboration between Cyndi Lauper and Allison,I mean, what a classic song!Don't know how old I was when that song was a hit....hehe...Then,there was the 'award' given to that long legged girl who sang 'Vision of Love'....pahh...she was so bad at it and judging by the look on her face, she knew it.But I have to admit, her body's so gorgeous!Ooooh la lal.I can bet you all women would want a body like that!I know I do : p

Anyhow, when Kara came out singing next to her,she was down and out,I tell ya.Her voice was a far cry from Kara's powerful vocals. And it was fantastic at the end of it when Kara showed off her body too.It was soooo hilarious and nicely done.Kara outdone the girl and she didn't look at all pleased.Hahaha.

I was looking forward to Lionel Richie performing and I wanted him to sing 'Hello'.In turn,Danny sang this song.Good thing he's one of my favourites and he sang it beautifully!I was singing along with him,on my couch, and suddenly feeling romantic!lol. How I wish hubby's home with me! (he's in Thailand now on a biz trip, now probably eating those yummy prawns at Chinatown we once had). Of course,Lionel Richie wouldn't be on stage without singing his famous ' All Night Long'.That's one song you can't help singing and dancing to!!

The sweet strums of Carlos Santana came next.Wow.This is the best finale ever. What more with 'Smooth'....oooohhhh,I was on music high, singing my lousy voice along with them. Then there was Adam singing with Kiss (how cool is that!) and of course, the great voice of David Cook.

It was a good Idol Finale.I thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to watch it again with hubby this weekend since he missed it tonight.

So Kris won.Well, perhaps this would be like Ruben and Clay.Although Clay was first runner-up,he has more album sales and becomes more successful than Ruben.(Kris' fans-don't be mad.hehe)

These are some of the performances that I like from this season...Enjoy.

Don't grow up too fast!

Oooh, how much I wanted to preserve every moment I spend with my babies! They seem to grow up too fast. It's simply ironic. As much as I want them to grow up and be independent,I want to hold them in my arms just like a mum who first set their eyes on their baby.

Just the other day I went to register for my boy to be in nursery next year.Yup,he'd be going to school each and every weekday next year onwards. If it's not for a good pal of mine who asked me about it, I wouldn't even realize (neither did hubby) that we have to register him for school so early in the year.I was scrambling to get the registration form a few weeks back as it was the final day to collect it.And so last Tuesday,he was officially registered to be in school for 2010.

My little,big boy.....

He has also recently learnt to sleep on his own....without needing us beside him,to hug or to accompany him for a long time.It was not easy to train him to do that, but after a few days,he got the hang of it and understood what needs to be done,so now we read a book, sang some songs he adore,we kissed and hugged each other, say doa and he'd fall asleep soon after he hugged his pillow. What an accomplishment for all of us!

As for my baby girl, she is 4 months now : )

Loves putting everything in her mouth....and enjoys being showered with kisses and jumping on the bed (with our help of course).Doesn't nap as often as before and always wants attention-calling us out and chuckling when she sees us.As much as her smile and laughter melt us all,she needs sleep training too....and it hasn't been easy for her to self-soothe as she is accustomed to sleep on the breast.*sigh*Well, wish us luck!
