A year gone by....

And so a year has gone by since I last blown the candles on my cake.

A year full of hopes and dreams.....and mostly of laughter and much pain (that was the part when I went into labour!lol).A big change in my life since last year is having another baby...a much awaited baby girl, who is coincidentally conceived on my last birthday...*grin*

As I closed my eyes and ponder on the significant parts of my life, what I was before, the things that happened which has moulded me to what I am today,I can only be thankful to Him.Though I can't erase some that I've regretted, perhaps in all the wrong that I've done,I might have done something good after all...to deserve this happiness and this smile I have on my face everyday.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't effected with the change in the number. And I still wouldn't tell anyone my age if I have to,chose to playfully said 'I'm 21' when anybody asks.Like, get real, right?!Think what you may,go ahead and guess...just don't go overboard if you want to get on my good side : )

I was mulling over the fact that hubby's going away for another business trip on my birthday and hoping that he has something nice up his sleeve for me before he flies off.I love when someone fusses over my birthday, planning and surprising me...yup,just for me!Haha!Am I being snotty?*shrugs* Trust me,all wives want that from their husbands.

And so,that was exactly what he did.

He took the kids and me for a fantastic meal on Sunday afternoon. We had a 'New Zealand menu'....fresh dory and succulent steak....and a kiwi cheesecake. It may look a queer green but I promise you,it's superb!

On Monday morning,at 11.12am,I received a message-He told me to get the kids to nap early as we have a date at 3.30.

I was so surprised! He has gone to work and I thought it was going to be another routine weekday for me.Apparently not!I rushed through the chores that needed immediate attention and waited anxiously to be swept to another food galore.

Hi-tea at Carousel.

The food was so-so.Not much improvement since our last visit. What I went wild for was of course, the desserts!I had a bit of rice,otak-otak,a taste of kebab and some other stuff here and there, but I swooped in on the sinful sweets....their signature bread and butter pudding,cheesecakes,scones,ice-cream and chocolate fondue. My son was in it as much as I was!

I ate till the lights go low on us.I was a happy woman.Just as I thought we were heading home, hubby asked if I was ready for the second surprise.Oh la la...

What was beside Carousel?Yup,DFS.But more importantly, where exactly at DFS were we headed?

Third floor...where all the boutiques are...where you can smell the leather on those gorgeous ones....

With a skip on my step and an enormous grin on my face (I couldn't wipe that stupid smile on my face throughout!),we went into

'The One'.

I could have kissed him right there!

This was my gift....

My own Galliera!!!Yippee!A GM to fit all my stash and babies' stuff too.

Not forgetting,a birthday card with words written so sweet,I had tears in my eyes.

Thank you sweetheart!Muaah...muaah...muaah....

On the morning of my birthday, hubby flew off to Hong Kong.Still dizzy with excitement,I went on a date with my two SIL for yet another sumptuous meal.Ooh all the good food....

My son has the best time it seems!(My baby girl stayed asleep all this while...)

I had a long birthday celebration this year.It was fantastic.I had tons of messages and well-wishes from my true friends and loads of love from my family.

What more could I have asked for....?
